Chapter 5.04
Policy
Petitions are not to be circulated or signed within the Library, due to potential disruptions to Library patrons and Library services. Similarly, no solicitation of cash or sale of items is permitted.
Sales or the circulation of petitions outside the Library is governed by local ordinance, which may vary by city and unincorporated area. Interested parties should contact the appropriate City or County agency. The Library Manager, or their designee, may answer or refer questions on this issue.
Organizations or individuals with petitions, or organizations distributing fliers outside the Library may not interfere with the entry or exit of Library customers.
Tabling or setting up a temporary structure to engage at the Library is permitted at the discretion of the Library Manager.
Library Support Group organizations are expressly permitted to recruit members and sell items within the Library so long as these activities support the purpose of the Library Support Group as identified in Chapter 2.02.
