Book Match

Amelia M.

Amelia’s desert island reads:
The books I’d want to have with me most on a desert island would be the works of Jane Austen (especially Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion), Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, and the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett.

What Amelia does when she’s not reading:
When I’m not reading, I can usually be found petting my cat, taking walks in nature and identifying birds, or inexpertly knitting, embroidering or playing video games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons

If Amelia could meet any literary character or visit any literary world, it would be:
It’s hard to choose just one, but if I could visit any fictional world I’d either want to go to Redwall Abbey for one of their famous feasts, or else to the boy’s forest in The Salamander Room (a favorite picture book of mine) to see the moss and trees growing up around his bed and the ceiling opening into the night sky.
