The City of Newark will be installing solar panels over the parking spaces in the Newark Civic Center parking lot. This will provide shade and help our environment. The parking lot is shared by the Newark Library, City Hall, and Police Department.
Construction starts on Wednesday, June 3, and is expected to continue for 12 weeks.
The Newark Library will remain open during regular hours. Parking will be limited. Allow extra time to find parking. Consider public transit, carpool, or rideshare options. If you live nearby, try biking or walking to the Library.
