AC Library Chosen for Community Centered Journalism Program

We have some great news to share! Alameda County Library has been selected as one of eight public libraries nationwide for a program that connects public libraries with local news organizations.

About the program

The Libraries and Local News program supports community centered journalism.

Selected libraries will learn and share solutions to help people:

  • Build trust in local information
  • Ensure community voices are included in local stories
  • Encourage open public conversations

Residents will learn how to shape the stories and information in their communities that affect their lives.
