Irvington Library Will Close on July 31, 2024
The Irvington Library will close this summer. The last day of library service will be July 31, 2024. New library services are coming soon, including self-service book lockers, pop-up maker crafts, and a combined makerspace. Find out more.

OverDrive’s Downloadable Options in the Catalog Have Changed
OverDrive recently made an update to downloadable options available in the catalog. The EPUB, PDF, and MP3 formats are no longer downloadable options through the catalog. You can download these formats through AC Library’s OverDrive website.
Indieflix Currently Down
Indieflix, the movie streaming service is down at this time. Until service is restored, please take advantage of additional movie and TV streaming services we offer, including hoopla Movies, Curiosity Stream, and more. Alameda County Board of Supervisors Appoint Deb Sica as Acting County Librarian
The Alameda County Board of Supervisors announced the unanimous appointment of Deb Sica as the Acting County Librarian on March 26, 2024. Her appointment is effective March 30, 2024. Dr. Cindy Chadwick, Alameda County’s current County Librarian, is retiring on March 29, 2024, after serving 13 years with Alameda County Library.
