2026 Summer Adventure Gallery: July 26–August 1

Meet Mochi & Sumi — a perfect duo of calm vibes and nonstop chaos! Mochi (9 months old) was found in my garage after accidentally getting stuck in there for a week without food or water. I’m still amazed he survived! He was about 3 or 4 months old at the time. He started out very shy and spooked by everything, but slowly turned into a sweet, cuddly boy who loves quiet snuggles and feeling safe. He’s the “watch first, trust later” type, happiest when things are calm and predictable. Sumi (3 months old) is the baby kitten who was found in a bag left in the Fremont Main Library when she was only about 4 weeks old. She is playful, super friendly, outgoing, and completely fearless. Her daily schedule is simple: play, zoom, pounce, repeat (with breaks only for food and naps). Nothing intimidates her, and everything is an adventure. The best part? These two opposites became best friends in just a week. Now Mochi sits back like a tiny critic, calmly observing Sumi’s nonstop comedy show of chaos. She brings the energy, he brings the chill, and together they make the perfect little team.

I went to the pool with my friends. We swam, played some games and even went on the slide. The slide was so fun. Then we went to my friend's place to go into a hot tub and we played. After that we played soccer.

Mr. T was named after an actor/pro-wrestler because he's just that tough! He's a brindle colored chihuahua mix, adopted from Merced Animal Shelter when he was a young gentleman. Mr. T is very serious about taking care of business, but don't tell anyone: he's secretly a cuddle bug! His ideal body temperature is 120 degrees Fahrenheit, preferably burrowed under blankets and pillows. He will sleep longer than anyone in the house, then zooms into the kitchen immediately before breakfast is served. Even though his legs are very tiny, he runs,  hikes, and plays with the big dogs. Mr. T only weighs 8 pounds but faces challenges with gusto: be brave like Mr. T!

I rode the paddle boats on Lake Elizabeth with my mom and grandma! My sister and I were able to paddle the boat, it was so fun!

I rode my new e-bike from Hayward to Union City.

We went for a hike at Reindhardt Redwood Regional Park. We are a snack at Big Bend Meadow. My mom said dragonflies are near water and can eat mosquitoes. We found the river. At home I looked up the dragonfly life cycle.

We went to Reindhardt Redwood Regional Park this morning. Close to noon we were headed back to the car and mom saw something moving in the ground and making dirt piles. 我们今天出去走一走。我看了一个小地鼠。它在挖土。我也会挖土！

I planted some red bell pepper seeds with my mom 2 weeks ago and we were surprised that they all grew so fast. I will keep on watering them every 2 days and will keep you guys updated.

This picture was taken when we went to Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, CA. I was playing with the waves with my dad. The water was not cold at all. We went back the next day to watch the sunset. I also played in the sand making holes and the water kept on coming at it so I had to rebuild it. I had fun.

I went to KPop Demon Hunter Dance class and had so much fun. We performed for our parents at the end of camp. I loved it!

I created this crochet vest by myself. I learned the crochet techniques, practiced patiently, and worked on each part step by step until I completed it. This project taught me creativity, patience, and confidence. I am proud that I challenged myself and made something unique with my own hands. I enjoyed the process of learning and creating this vest.

My family and I went camping by a beach campground. We saw elephant seals molting on a beach.
