Choosing the Right Reading Level

By Helen Christian

Have you ever asked yourself, “How do I know if I can read this book?” This is a good question! You want to read a book, but don’t know if it is too hard for you. You might stop to look up words in the dictionary many times, and still not understand the book.

To find books that are easier for us to read, we must know most of the words in the book. How do you know this?

This is not a rule, but one way for you to decide whether the book will be easy enough for you to understand and still learn some new words.

You can also look for books in Fresh Reads, a collection of books that may be easier for everyone to read.
