As Black History Month comes to an end, AC Library wants to remind you to keep celebrating Black voices all year round!
Did you know that American Fiction—the breakout indie film that has garnered five Academy Award nominations and a spot in the American Film Institute’s top ten films of 2023—is based on a book written over 20 years ago? The film was adapted from the book Erasure by acclaimed author Percival Everett.
While “the book was better” has become a familiar cry of the book lover, many of these films were met with widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. And many movie fans might not even know that there’s a book behind the big screen.
