About the Library

Irvington Library opened in 1971 and occupies approximately 5760 square feet. The building sits on a city park adjacent to Wally Pond Community Center. It is AC Library's southern-most branch. The collection size is approximately 27,000 items ranging from books, DVD’s, CD’s, magazines and includes English, Chinese, Spanish, and Hindi titles. Roughly 80% of the items checked out at Irvington are from the children’s materials, and the library hosted more than 100 programs in 2019 while being open just one day per week on Wednesdays.
