Share Your Library Story!

Alameda County Library joins libraries across California to seek community insights on programs and services.

Every library visit has a story. What’s yours?

From January 25–31, 2026, Alameda County Library (AC Library) joins the California State Library with Every Story Counts, a statewide initiative to capture data, stories, and photos that show how and why Californians use their local public libraries.

Public libraries across California, including Alameda County Library, deliver essential services, trusted information, and serve as welcoming spaces for all communities. California is home to 188 library jurisdictions, which are made up of 1,127 individual local libraries. Whether you bring your child to a storytime, use the library computers, check out books or items from our tool library, ask a question, or take advantage of the many other services the library offers, we want to hear about it!

Along with libraries everywhere, Alameda County Library continues to seek your valuable insight on our programs and services provided to the community.
