Do you help your family, friends, neighbors with homework, reading mail, or filling out applications? Or would you like to learn how to help others with reading and writing skills? You could be a Learning Partner!
No teaching experience is needed to be a Learning Partner. We are looking for people who show empathy, respect, and patience for others in the learning process. We will provide training for all the rest!
What does a Learning Partner do?
We ask learners what they want to learn, and we help them with that. We work together with the learner to create lessons that focus on those goals.
How do we do it?
We provide ongoing support and training to Learning Partners. You’re not alone, and there will always be opportunities to grow your skills and knowledge.
What do Learning Partners value?
Patience, empathy, and flexibility. Life can interfere with the learning process sometimes. Learning is often not a straightforward path, so a Learning Partner flows at the learner’s pace and focuses on the learner as a whole person. This is a partnership. Everyone and anyone can learn in the right environment with the right person to help them.
If you or someone you know may be interested, fill out this form, and we will contact you for the next steps.
