The Centerville Library (at approximately 6000 square feet) opened in 1976 and is in north Fremont in the Brookvale Shopping Center.
The building has:
- A noteworthy carpet
- A dedicated play space for young children
- An expansive brick patio behind the library
- A small playground is next to the library in the park.
A learning garden was completed in Winter 2021 which includes a seed lending library.
The collection size is approximately 34,000 items ranging from books, DVD’s, CD’s, magazines and includes English, Chinese, Spanish, and Hindi titles. Roughly 72% of the items checked out at Centerville are from the children’s materials, and the library hosted more than 280 programs in 2019.
