The Albany Library serves the nearly 20,000 residents of Albany, as well as many residents of nearby communities including Berkeley, El Cerrito, Richmond, and Oakland. The City of Albany Library Advisory Board advises the City Council and and the Alameda County Library on matters relating to the library.
