Robotics Field
Our robotics field is a place for robotics teams to test their robots ahead of competition.
What’s Available?
Irvington Library & Makerspace Garage has the following equipment:
- 12’ x 12’ Vex Robotics Field, including perimeter and anti-static mats.
- Field elements for 2023 - 2024 VEX Robotics Competition Game, Over Under are currently installed in the Robotics Field and may not be removed.
What You’ll Need
A robot. If competition field elements are already installed in the robotics field, your robot may need to be compatible with those elements.
Safety Considerations
- Do not walk on the tiles with shoes on.
- AC Library is aware that Robotics Teams made up of multiple individuals may wish to reserve time on the Robotics Field. Everyone who will be using the field must have their own library card and a signed waiver in their name on file.
How to Make a Reservation
In order to make a reservation to use any Makerspace equipment, you will need:
- A library card under the name of the person who will be using the equipment
- A signed waiver for the person who will be using the equipment. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
Then, fill out the Makerspace Equipment Interest form to get started.
