Shaping Family Spaces at Your Library

We're working on a plan to improve family spaces at eight of our library locations. Right now, we're learning from families about what matters most in these spaces.

What we learn will help us make spaces where families can connect, play, learn, and spend time together.

Thanks for Sharing Your Ideas

This summer and fall, we shared hundreds of moments with families at library events, community gatherings, and through our online survey in several languages.

Your ideas are helping shape our plans for Family Spaces. We're reviewing what you shared and will post updates soon.

How We'll Get There

  • Year 1: Connect with our community and staff. Review each library's family spaces to guide recommendations.
  • Year 2: Draft improvement plans with estimated budgets and timelines.
  • Years 3-5: Work with partners and vendors to make changes—big and small—to family spaces.
  • All Along: Listen, learn, and share where we are in the process.
