ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM
Earn an accredited high school diploma (not a GED) and a career certificate through the Alameda County Library
A SECOND CHANCE AT EDUCATION
"I wanted to finish my diploma to have better opportunities and continue my education," says Valeria, a Career Online High School (COHS) graduate from the Los Angeles Public Library. COHS, an 18-credit high school completion program offered through the Alameda County Library, provides adult learners like Valeria with a chance to further their education and graduate with tools that will help them take the next steps in their careers or education. Join Alameda County Library COHS graduates who are on a path to success.
A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY
As individuals work through the program, they are supported every step of the way with academic coaches, certified instructors, and technical support staff. With a flexible timeframe and an online classroom environment, students can complete coursework according to their own schedules. Students have 18 months to finish the program and can even transfer previously earned high school and GED credits to shorten their time to graduate. COHS students end the program with an entry-level workforce certificate in one of ten high demand employment fields.
ALAMEDA COUNTY LIBRARY
COHS is open to eligible Alameda County residents who live within the Alameda County library's service areas, including Ashland, Cherryland, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Dublin, Albany, Union City, Newark, and Fremont.
