  • Alameda County Social Services Agency
    Responsible for food stamps, emergency services, child or elder abuse issues, foster care, Medi-cal and the County's Welfare to Work program.
  • Community Ambassador Program for Seniors (CAPS)
    Volunteers provide social service information and referrals to seniors and their families in Fremont, Newark, and Union City. Their partnerships with local organizations ensure that services can be extended to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Help is available with topics such as transportation, housing, health benefits, social security, social needs, immigration, and more.
  • Fremont Family Resources Center
    Offers a wealth of services, including housing information, tax help, counseling, food stamps, assistance with employment and educational programs.
  • Washington Community Health Resource Library
    A service of Washington Hospital Healthcare System, the library includes books, videos, computer databases, medical journals and children's materials with consumer- friendly medical information.
